Leuchtpult. Wettbewerber solcher Systeme waren

IBM Port-A-Punch
Omnidex
Remington Rand card
regular IBM card
Termatrex
Microdte (National Bureau of Standards)
Minimatrex (Microfiche, -film)

SIMPLIFIED CATALOGING AND INFORMATION RETRIEVAL ... THE ROYAL MCBEE "KEYDEX" SYSTEM, CONTAINING THREE MAJOR COMPONENTS--A PUNCH MACHINE, FILE CARDS, AND A LIGHT BOX

The peek-a-boo cards may also be used as a data processing device for the evaluation of test data and the examination of relationships between many variables. It can easily provide cross-correlations and statistical analyses of survey or test resultsThe use of pre-addressed hole positions on the card provides some restrictions because of the  limited number of holes that can be punched into and   read from a card. The file capacity can naturally be increased by increasing- card size and decreasing the size and spacing of the holes.
